Amanda Cruise is a certified level 1 USATF coach! She began as a runner looking to get in shape after the birth of her twin boys but quickly fell in love with the sport! She ran high school track and cross country but didn’t take it serious or understand training concepts and methods to make it something bigger. However, her passion for running and training since has pushed her to unbelievable achievements and given her the desire to work with and coach other runners to exceed their own expectations.
As a 2020 Olympic trials qualifier, she ranks at the top of her races and holds many overall wins and records!
If anyone understands training and balancing it is her!
As a mother of 3 boys (Twins 6 & and an 8 year old) her training is specific to goals and effective to manage time!
She understands that life is hectic but knows how to set a plan and stay committed!!
“To give anything less than your best is to sacrifice the gift”
On a personal note…
We are a family of runners! All different paces and distances but the love for the sport is there!!
After the birth of our twin boys in 2011 I had a high school cross country friend visit me and encourage me to get back into running.
Just six short months later, I ran my first 5k in over 30 minutes.
My only goal was to finish and from there I hopelessly fell in love with running. I did mostly 5k’s and slowly started creeping up in distance. (As a runner you learn to never say never) My first half was in November 2013 and my first full was in January 2015! I am a pr chaser and a dreamer! I have some pretty big goals and I won’t stop until I make them happen!
I run to inspire these boys!!! I hope they see that they can achieve anything they set their minds too!!
Totally and unbelievably blessed to be called mom by these handsome little men!
